Bellicose is a futuristic fantasy rpg set on an original planet by the same name.
Gods and Monsters walk the Earth and an ancient Deity long since forgotten rattles her chains. She's been caged for too long, betrayed by her treacherous children: Nocturna, Jaecaer, Tythos, Marika, and Incarnate. They bound her in fear and locked her away. Then, they cast down her lover; stripped him of all powers and memories. It was his curse to be reborn a mortal over and over, never to remember his deific status.
But there are whispers circling of an unrest in the Celestial Realm. Mother is calling. The bonds are fading. A deity, bound to a temporal form, is beginning to remember his place. With each new memory, the draw of Mother grows louder. The Gods fear a war is approaching. With Mother enraged and the shackles weakening, she is starting to influence the mortals to her side as she calls to them in their sleep and subconscious thoughts. Those loyal to the fallen Gods are showing their colors as the Deities break apart. The Pantheon is preparing for battle and calling forth all who are capable of fighting in their honor.
The question is: Just who exactly is left for them to call on?
