ABOUT THE PLANET
Bellicose
The planet of Bellicose, aptly named for its affinity for fighting, is larger than that of Earth. Its general calendar is longer than the usual.
- Bellicose has the same four seasons, Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring.
- Thirty-five hours in a day.
- Twelve days in a week.
- Four weeks in a month.
- Eight months (384 days) in a year.
- Every year is dedicated to a different deity and each deity's year has a different thing occurring in it. Example: The Year of Marika has the Festival of Magick in it and will have more events to do with magic.
- One IC year is four real life months.
Holotech and Technology
Technology is a very big part of how advanced Bellicose is. A few prime examples of such technology is:
- Holotech: an advanced neuro-dependent technology. It is perhaps the most common and useful piece of technology on Bellicose. When people come of age, they can choose to get an implant throughout their body that connects with the equipment with one's thoughts. This technology allows people to communicate instantly, track others vitals, pull up a holographic screen to do with what they wish, and store much more information.
It also comes with an auto-translator, rendering the language barrier all but obsolete. Implanted almost everywhere on the body, Holotech is the reason people on Bellicose have the opportunity to get cybernetic implants to increase certain skills. However, these implants are still new and are very highly priced. - Nokidium: one of the most important pieces of technology, beyond Holotech. It is hard to come by any amount of Nokidium large enough to make a full set of armor or a weapon. It is an incredibly lightweight, nigh-unbreakable metal and so intensely sharp when crafted into a blade it can cut nearly anything. One would be quite lucky indeed to have an item made of the material. The Wolves of Jaecar are well-known for the Nokidium-weave armor.
- The Pack's reverse propulsion gauntlets and boots act almost like small vacuums; using the surface of the area that they're climbing to drag themselves up. These types of gauntlets allow the pack to climb up and down almost, if not all, surfaces on Bellicose with relative ease. Used in conjunction with their Holotech, they can reverse the flow of the gauntlets and boots to slow or soften their landings.
- Armor and Cybernetic Implants of Super Soldiers: Each super soldier is equipped with a highly advanced specialized suit of armor and given implants to best enhance their strongest traits. No two armors are alike. The best candidate to explain the soldier's technology is Adam Shepherd. Adam has a specified suit of power armor that allows him to take almost any position on the battlefield. He was one of the first people that the implants were tested on, and Adam's implants make him more durable in combat (a skin weave infused with small amounts of Nokidium), allow him to see farther, and make it possible for him to plan tactics within mere moments.
- Shields are another important piece of technology. One type of shield can be produced by the user's Holotech, though such an upgrade is quite costly. Jackson Antonius, a former royal guard, and current Resistance member, has a unique holotech shield that he can manipulate via thought to take the form of whichever shield he thinks is best for the moment. However, if the shield is forcibly removed, it will instantly disintegrate to keep from falling into enemy hands, leaving the user defenseless.
- Another unique piece of technology is the use of kinetic energy in armor as both a defensive and offensive utility. The Jaurian Super Soldier, Valentina, has a suit of armor that is powered by kinetic energy, created through a joint effort of Bellicose and Jaurian scientists. She can charge up her armor from moving around and taking hits. That energy is stored in many powerful micro-capacitors across her arms and legs. Said energy can be kept in case she is incapable of moving and powering up her armor or purged in a devastating electric attack. The intense voltage can kill armed foes or even outright disintegrate unarmored people, depending on how much energy was spent.
- Last, but certainly not least, would be the rare cloaking ability. So far, there have been several attempts to craft a fully invisible set of armor, but such attempts have proved mostly fruitless. They can camouflage well enough, though radars and highly advanced detection equipment or specialized cybernetic eyes can still pick up the equipment. One set of armor exists, however, that is completely undetectable to even the greatest sensors and keenest of eyes. The Mantle of the Ghost. The Ghost was known for being the personal guard to the Monseth Royal Family, and being frighteningly good at his job. Since being framed and disgraced, The Ghost absconded with his armor and destroyed any blueprints to stop those responsible for the royal murders from replicating his powerful gear. When activated, the Mantle of the Ghost is completely invisible on every level.
Aging
The aging process on Bellicose is slower than that of most other planets. Some claim it is due to the atmosphere, while others are certain it is from Godly influence, though none are quite certain. All that is really known is that once someone finds themselves on the planet, their aging , upon maturity, is slowed to a crawl.
So long as one remains on Bellicose, they will age much more slowly than they originally would elsewhere. The average lifespan is anywhere from 150-200 years, with the exception of Jaurians, who live even longer, and Curdah, who have a shorter lifespan. Aging slows at maturity and picks up later in life.
Average Lifespans of the Races on Bellicose *
Human: 150-175 years of age. Maturity: 13-20 years of age. Aging resumes at around 140 years.
Elf: 175-200 years of age. Maturity: 20-27 years of age. Aging resumes at around 160 years.
Curdah: 120-140 years of age. Maturity: 12-15 years of age. Aging resumes at around 110 years.
Jaurian: 200-250 years of age. Maturity: 18-25 years of age. Aging resumes at around 190 years.
Average Lifespans of the Races on Earth (for comparison)
Human: 70-100 years of age. Maturity: 13-20 years of age.
Elf: 100-120 years of age. Maturity: 20-27 years of age.
Curdah: 40-70 years of age. Maturity: 12-15 years of age.
Jaurian: 120-170 years of age. Maturity: 18-25 years of age.
*Averages are a generalization and outliers do exist. It can be shortened or extended given a combination of race, lifestyle choices, and genetics.

Creatures
Creatures on Bellicose aren't all friendly like the Apalia in the fields of Aerinon. Below you'll find a list of the creatures on Bellicose that are different from Earthen animals. Keep in mind that some of these are very hostile and some are rare to see.
Xandrial War Beasts (Non-Hostile unprovoked)
Xandrial War Beasts are animals that look almost wolfish in appearance, but much larger. They easily stand as tall as a person on all fours. They are highly intelligent, being able to understand the many languages that are on Bellicose and being able to understand not only commands but full conversations by the people around them. They are highly independent and will choose the person they deem worthy of following. It is very rare to tame a wild war beast, and one must be good natured for them to consider the option. Though they lack the ability to speak in any known tongue, they are quite good at getting their complex thoughts across through body language, vocalization, and actions. Considered to be the smartest creature on Bellicose.
Apalia (Non-Hostile)
Apalias look like they are a mix between a hart and a reindeer with a long feathered tail. Standing next to a War Beast, Apalia go up to their shoulders. They're passive creatures, usually hanging out near the amethyst forests of Aerinon. They can come in two different colors, pure white or black with cream color highlights. They're really easy to tame and are large enough to be used as steeds.
Screecher (Hostile)
With the lower half of a ram and the top half of an eagle, Screechers are quite odd looking. Usually, one can find them up in the mountains of Aerinon. It's not often you see them around the cities. The only ones around the cities are the ones that were adopted when they were young and raised to be a house pet. Regular Screechers are violent, they'll stun a person then take them, throw rocks down the mountains in hopes to start a landslide, and will stop the ground to create rock slides.
Praedors (Hostile)
Praedors are small, weasel-like animals that look like a honey badger mixed with a bat-eared fox. They hunt in packs in Xandrial and usually come out after a snap freeze to hunt the poor souls who were caught in the snap freeze. It is rare to see one away from a pack. Those that are, are usually the unhealthy or the young, and these are the ones that are taken as pets. Their fur is always very coarse, almost sharp in texture and snowy white in color. They maintain the unique ability to camouflage themselves to near-invisibility.
Banshee (Hostile)
Banshees are tall, bipedal creatures with thick fur that ranges in cool colors, long clawed fingers, kinda potbellied, and wide, gaping mouths with large fangs. Their scream can paralyze, knock out, or even kill a person if they're close enough. They use their scream to catch their prey. They usually live in groups and seem to have a sort of matriarchal society. They can climb the trees with terrifying speed and navigate through the branches and the forest very quickly. They're omnivorous, but with a meat preference.
Sand Wvyern (Hostile)
Sand Wyverns are native to Monseth and look almost like a giant dragon-like lizard with no wings. They like laying under the sand and usually only come up if something gets too close to them. Wyverns are the calmest of the monsters, seeing as they generally won't attack if they are left alone, but can and will kill if need be. Wyverns are completely fine in the sandstorms and they have special secondary eyelids that allow them to see during the sandstorms despite it being incredibly dark.
Silent Ones (Very Hostile)
The most violent monster on this list, the Silent Ones are tall, thin skeletal like creatures that have long, bony claws that they usually curl into a fist and walk on. These horrors are native to the Dead Lands and are children of the Black Harrier and Mother. They can blend into the shadows at will and travel vast distances in mere moments through such methods. The Silent Ones travel alone and they will usually hang around The Black Harrier's recently rediscovered temple. They will attack anyone on sight and will tear them apart without a singular thought.
Drak (Non-Hostile unprovoked)
Draks are large equine-like lizards. The majority of draks are in Monseth, and they are capable of being tamed and ridden. It is a distinguishing mark and sign of honor to be able to ride the ferocious beast. They are very picky about who they allow to touch them, let alone ride them. They were once used as war mounts by the fighters that own one.
Dragons (Non-Hostile unprovoked)
The dragons of Bellicose tend to stay up in the air by the floating castle. Loyal to Aniketos, these dragons will fight for their king and they stay hidden from people's sights. It is possible for a dragon and a sand wyvern to mate and produce a form of flightless dragon, that people may buy from the store. However, these occasions are extremely rare.

Transportation
Since Bellicose is so advanced, they made traveling much easier to do. If one would like to go off planet, it's completely possible. It could take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to travel between planets, but it is entirely possible for people to visit Jaura in their free time or Duellum if they so wish.
Travel on the planets is also highly advanced. There have been various forms of hovercraft developed for residents to purchase. Ground transportation is still common, if not a bit dated, for people who are more comfortable with having wheels on the ground. Hovercycles have become the most popular type of transportation on Bellicose, due to the quick speeds, sleek build, and ability to navigate most terrains. Caution must be exercised when using such a vehicle and it is often advised to learn how to drive a Hovercycle specifically, for many have died due to crashing on the nimble vehicle.
Sea travel is also a lot quicker, though most people avoid the seas if possible due to Tythos being none-too-fond of mortals. If one travels by sea, they are at risk of running into the Siren, Nirenia. She is known for being a notorious pirate and using her abilities to not only take over other ships but crash them for crossing her path. One can usually avoid the powerful nymph, for a hurricane surrounds her ship at all times. One final warning for those daring to tread the waters if threats of angry deities and murderous nymphs are not enough. A giant beast roams the depths, large enough to encircle the entire continent of Aerinon. It is the first creation of the deity Tythos. The only name known is simply 'Leviathan'. Its eye alone is larger than the tallest of people. A ship would be nothing but a grain to the mighty creature. Test the seas if you dare.
For those who think traveling like that is also dated, there is something else. The Transportation Relay Stations, or just simply the Trans-Relay station. They hold the relay systems that cover all of the planets and the moon. However, there is only one on Curdah due to the lack of materials. They're set up like booths and all one has to do is scan their holotech or their ID to travel to their selected destination. Since it takes a few moments, there are almost never lines.

Government Types
The governments on Bellicose vary on each continent.
Xandrial
Xandrial's government is exactly what you'd expect it to be, a stratocracy. Their government is lead by military chiefs and is almost always warring with themselves. They had originally tried to have a democracy, but that tore itself apart, thus letting the military chiefs swoop in.
Monseth
Monseth was once a very good and fair monarchy, ruled by Maelynn's family for as long as people can remember. That changed when the coup happened and her family was brutally murdered and she presumed dead. A new royal family took control, but this changed the monarchy to an oligarchy, a form of government in which control is exercised by the wealthy. Though, they are attempting to disguise it as a monarchy still. Should the Resistance succeed in overthrowing the usurpers, a true Monarchy will return.
Aerinon
The government in Aerinon is technically a theocratic government, one in which a Deity is recognized as the supreme civil ruler. However, since no one is truly certain that the King is a God, and they're much to afraid to question him on the matter, one could say it's an absolute monarchy; a form of government where the monarch rules unhindered.
Ja'Rik
Ja'Rik's government is by far the nicest and the most for their people. They have a Democratic Republic, in which the supreme power rests in with the citizens. All citizens of Ja'Rik are entitled to vote for their officers and representatives. They do have a leader, but they are more so for face value than any real power. Should the citizens grow unhappy with the current officials, they can easily overthrow them and put in new people for the job. Such an ability keeps those elected on their toes and certain to keep the citizens in mind when making decisions.
